Could someone help me with this. I'm not very good with math and the only thing I know about this is that in the division, you can't divide by zero (somebody said that's why the formula is wrong).
How do you know a + b - c is zero?
I don't even know what a, b, and c equal. What does a, b, and c equal? :shy:
Let a + b = c where a, b, c are real numbers
Then,
5a – 2a – 2a +5b – 2b – 2b = 5c – 2c – 2c
Rearrange:
5a + 5b – 5c = 2a + 2b – 2c + 2a + 2b – 2c
Factor:
5(a + b – c) = 2(a + b – c) + 2(a + b – c)
Divide through by a + b – c:
5 = 2 + 2
Therefore, 2 + 2 = 5
sorry for the stupid question but I'd like to know and this forum looked like the only place that might tell me.
thank you.
