In summary, the age of 30 is not too old to start a career in particle physics. While it may be more difficult to break into the field at an older age, there are still opportunities for individuals with a passion for this subject. Many successful physicists have started their careers later in life and have made significant contributions to the field. With determination and hard work, it is possible to establish a successful career in particle physics at any age.
