He's going back home and he will have very limited internet access, but he will be back with his girlfriend, so he won't care.

I don't think he's completely leaving, but won't be here nearly as often. He's explained that wherever "home" is doesn't have easy access to internet, plus he'll have other "distractions" there (i.e., his girlfriend ).
