In summary, it is never too late to pursue physics as a passion, even in your forties. While it may be challenging to start a new career or academic path at this age, it is not impossible. Many successful physicists have started their journeys later in life and have made significant contributions to the field. With dedication, hard work, and a strong passion for the subject, anyone can pursue physics and find fulfillment in their pursuit of knowledge. Age should not be a limiting factor in pursuing one's passions and interests, and physics is no exception.

I'm nearly fourty; not a time when most people start
I have always loved physics and math but gave up in high school when teachers always complained I ask too many questions. I always want to know the how's and why's. Questions I asked thoughts I had were called stupid but now are actually main stream. If I'm not to old how do I start following this dream?

Thank you. I've been enjoying surfing through the threads. Instead of overwhelming it's actually thrilling.
