Is the Maths Addin for Word2007 Worth Trying?

Don't have office2007 so haven't tested it, but this MS add in looks interesting.

I'm not sure who would use it in the academic world really. In high school you probably have 2 years when you write short essays with simple equations and a few lab reports, then once at university level you start using latex.

I will admit however it looks rather user friendly and aesthetically pleasing.

It ultimately depends on your personal needs and preferences. If you frequently work with mathematical equations and formulas in Word 2007, then the Maths Addin may be worth trying as it claims to make creating and editing these equations easier and more efficient. However, if you rarely use mathematical equations in your work, then this addin may not be necessary for you. It may be helpful to research reviews and try out a demo version before making a decision.
