It is roughly:

- be kind (of course)
- no politics (never ends nicely)
- no religion (no evidence)
- no philosophy (endless, meaningless, and barely true philosophy)
- no unpublished theories (what has been published is already hard enough)
- if it could be homework then it belongs in homework forums (special rules there)

Looks reasonable thanks.
Just one contradiction.
A Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in Mathematics/Physics e.g. is a study in Philosophy, as to create new work does involve the highest form of Philosophy with the end result verifiable new facts. The latter is what distinguishes this Philosophy from Yabba-Dabba Philosophy. By the definition in previous post, Ph.D.'s are not allowed here, neither would e.g. Godel.
I know what you mean, and it is pretty difficult to carve out by name, that kind of Philosophy you mean.
I guess "Speculative Philosophy" would be closer to the correct term that would not disqualify Ph.D's , but I dont know, my guess is as good as yours.

Gödel is allowed since his theorems are a) proven facts and b) relevant to axiomatic mathematics.

Spinoza, Kant, or Wittgenstein on the other hand are barely known to most members. What we have witnessed here is in 99% of all cases Yabba-Dabba Philosophy. There are excellent philosophy forums on the internet that can cope far better than we with philosophical subjects.

Exactly.
It is just a personal thing that I have with this schism that took place in philosophy as the highest qualification in science and mathematics is still a philosophy degree (PhD).
Unfortunately both sides of the irreconcilable schism is still called by the same name, and that is where the problem lies.
Anyway thanks for clarifying, I wont bother you further.
No problem.

But as we speak about it:

Seyla Benhabib, an American philosopher (Columbia NYC), has been awarded this year's Theodor-W.-Adorno prize by the city of Frankfurt (Main), Germany, these days.
