In summary, The speaker has found out that their off-campus class is within walking distance of the main campus of their Community College. They will be using their work study income to divide up their money, with 55% going towards tuition and books, 40% towards transportation, and 5% towards a startup business. They plan to continue pursuing part-time employment off-campus while also taking classes, including a first honors class. They hope to save money on transportation by walking to their engineering class and also plan to look for work in their spare time.

I found out that the class off-campus from the campus at the Community College I currently attend is walking distance from the main CC campus. It's a pretty long walk. It's about ~30-40 minutes in the Fall (when it starts to get colder out). With the work study, I will be having some income coming in, so here's how I'm planning on dividing up the money:

55% towards tuition/books
40% towards a car/transportation
5% towards a startup sole proprietorship business

I will continue to pursue off-campus from the Community College (CC) part-time employment, permenant job positions. That way I don't have to drop my first engineering class, & I can look for work in my spare time. As I can walk to my engineering class, it will also save money (due to not owning a car yet, but hopefully soon).

Classes I'll be taking in the Fall:

CHE145 - Prep for general college chemistry
ENR153 - Mechanical Design & Prototyping
MTH165 - College Algebra
first official honors class (HON195 - Honors seminar - Global Poverty & Justice)

It would make sense to post that in your previous thread then...

FAQ: Is Walking to My Off-Campus Class a Viable Long-Term Solution?

What does it mean when a problem is "temporarily solved"?

When a problem is temporarily solved, it means that a solution has been found to address the issue at hand. However, this solution may only be effective for a limited period of time and may not completely eradicate the problem.

Why is it important to acknowledge that a problem is only temporarily solved?

Acknowledging that a problem is only temporarily solved helps to prevent complacency and encourages continued efforts to find a more permanent solution. It also allows for the possibility of the problem resurfacing in the future.

What factors contribute to a problem being temporarily solved?

The effectiveness of the solution, as well as any external or internal factors that may impact the problem, can contribute to a problem being temporarily solved. For example, a temporary solution may be effective in the short term but may not address the root cause of the problem.

How can we ensure that a problem is not only temporarily solved?

To ensure that a problem is not only temporarily solved, it is important to thoroughly analyze the root cause of the problem and address it directly. This may involve implementing long-term solutions, making structural changes, or addressing underlying issues.

What are the potential risks of relying on a temporary solution for a problem?

Relying on a temporary solution for a problem can lead to the problem resurfacing in the future, potentially causing more harm or damage. It can also create a false sense of security and delay the implementation of a more permanent solution.
