In summary: I get a summary? In summary, the city of West Hollywood, known for its progressive political ideas, has passed a nonbinding resolution urging deputies to go easy on pot smokers. This conversation also includes discussions about Amsterdam's social scene and the restrictions on non-local girls entering "hash bars." One person shares a fun memory of a night out in Amsterdam with four girls and mentions that there are British cops in the city. However, they clarify that the story is actually just from their imagination and they have never actually been to Amsterdam or smoked marijuana.

W. Hollywood wants cops to go easy on pot smokers

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - This little city has some big political ideas.

It was one of the first cities in the nation to ban indoor smoking in public places and to call for businesses to offer benefits to domestic partners of employees.

Now the enclave of coffee shops, bookstores and nightclubs wedged between Hollywood and Beverly Hills has aimed its lance at marijuana law with a nonbinding resolution urging deputies that patrol the city to go easy on pot smokers.

"We didn't declare it legal, but declared the sheriff should spend more time pursuing people that do more serious crimes," said Hernan G. Molina, deputy to Councilman John J. Duran, who sponsored the resolution.

You might think that, but there are actually some really fun lesbian bars there if you know where to look!
I am looking forward to going back there for a visit. I need to give my gay pals a ring. I wonder if it will be one big "contact high" strolling down SM blvd. now that eveyone is "sparking up" without fear of the law.

That would be the saturday after we had just finished an instalation at the
Nest____ factory, me and my mate (macho man) were invited out by two of
the office girls, (macho man) had been taking pills to make him look brown
but they turned him red, i told him no would notice but he was to vain to come out that night, so i took a taxi on my own to meet the girls, when i got there i was greeted by four girls after that every thing was a blur of clubs, joints, other stuff, i can not dance for toffee but i was persuaded and the five of us had a good laugh on the dance floor, well a good laugh every where, the girls were all expert at rolling Js and knew where they could and could not be used, and i could not pay for anything they insisted it was on the company  i got back to the hotel at four in the morning with four Js in my pocket one from each girl.

WOW! That sounds like so much fun! So can (non-local) girls go into the "hash bars" in Amsterdam? Not that I really care since marijuana doesn't affect me, but I am just curious about the social scene and the restrictions.

We did not go in any they all had a about an oz each, to be honest i did not notice any girls in the hash joints mostly bikers, every where we went we were welcomed so the places we went must have been the girls regular haunts.

Oh and it is best to not use those places, there are plenty parading up and down the street who will sell the stuff much cheaper.

There are Britt cops in Dam, we were warned, i doubt if they would take much notice of me, but with a company van to drive through customs one can not be to careful, not that they would find anything it is just the incovienience of having to take everything out and enduring a search.

There are coffee shops for every type of person, it just depends where you go. Its the social norm, the dutch don't actually smoke so much, it typically the tourists that do. The red light district in Amsterdam is run by the 'angels' so I suspect you were there
