Just saying 'hi' & hoping that my intention in joining is OK

In summary, the act of saying "hi" and hoping that one's intention in joining a group or community is acceptable is a passive way of seeking validation and acceptance. This approach may not always yield the desired outcome and may be perceived as insincere or disingenuous. It is important to actively engage and communicate one's intentions in order to foster genuine connections and build meaningful relationships within the group.

Hi to all. I am very much enjoying a hobby I began about a year ago: science fiction writing. But I want my stories to involve as much real science as possible within a given story line. I am particularly interested in small dimensions physics. I probably will mostly just read the questions and answers - and do my own 'research' of the theories that are current as I can. But I hope that if there's something that I want to find out about that I can't otherwise find out that it will be okay to ask in the forums here. Thanks.
