Hello I have a questions about the exclusions plots in the paper using King plot nonlinearities (for example Fig. 1 in this paper, but it's basically the same plot in all papers). Why is there a lower limit for the mass of the boson, usually around 1-10 eV? There are many theories predicting smaller masses (and experiments searching for them), such as axions, and I assume that "5th force" exclusion plot doesn't exclude all of them (otherwise there will be no such experiments), especially that the assumption of a Yukawa potential is extremely general (i.e. basically model independent). So should I assume that the exclusion plot actually continues as a horizontal line to the left? Does it go up again at a point? And in general, why do they stop there? Thank you!
