In summary, the conversation discusses the possibility of completely neglecting mathematics and what the consequences of that would be. It is argued that it is not possible to completely neglect math as it is unconsciously used in daily life. However, a person may become numb to formal practice of it. The question is then asked about neglecting numbers and whether animals do so as well.

This seems kind of funny posting in the "Academic and Career Guide" but what would happen to a person if they completely (if that’s possible) neglect mathematics? I don't believe you can totally neglect math because you will unconsciously use it someway almost everyday but I believe a person is able to become numb to formal practice of it.

What do you mean? Most people already completely neglect mathematics. Do you mean completely neglect numbers? I.e. never think of anything in quantities?

I'm guessing animals do that, although I'm sure they sense multiplicity.
