Not without you trying first. Please review the homework guidelines

Have you tried researching on the web yet? What if you searched for something like "lasers for cutting metals".

I tried and saw many books on this topic , but they differ about the characteristics and every book and website say a different characteristic.

That is my trial in order:
1- holography: coherence
2- orienting missiles: collimation
3- star wars: intensity
4- CD and DVD: collimaton
5- medical surgery: intensity
6- telecommunications and fiber optics: coherence and collimation
7- LASER printer: collimation
8- cutting metals: ??

We do not edit wrong answers for you here.

What-all are the properties of lasers that you are using? So far I think I see three: intensity, coherence and collimation. Are there any others? Where did you find those properties?

FAQ: LASER Applications help please

What are the common applications of lasers in medicine?

Lasers are commonly used in medicine for various applications, including laser surgery, skin resurfacing, tattoo removal, and eye treatments such as LASIK. They are effective in cutting, coagulating, and vaporizing tissue with precision, minimizing damage to surrounding areas.

How are lasers used in manufacturing?

In manufacturing, lasers are used for cutting, welding, engraving, and marking materials. They provide high precision and efficiency, allowing for intricate designs and high-speed production processes in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics.

What role do lasers play in telecommunications?

Lasers are crucial in telecommunications as they are used in fiber optic communication systems. They transmit data over long distances by sending light pulses through fiber optic cables, enabling high-speed internet and telephone services.

Can lasers be used in scientific research?

Yes, lasers are extensively used in scientific research for various purposes, including spectroscopy, microscopy, and laser-induced fluorescence. They help in analyzing materials, studying molecular interactions, and imaging biological samples at high resolutions.

What safety precautions should be taken when using lasers?

Safety precautions when using lasers include wearing appropriate protective eyewear, ensuring proper training for operators, using warning signs in laser areas, and implementing safety interlocks. It is also important to follow guidelines and regulations specific to the type of laser being used.
