In summary, the article explores the theoretical implications of a magnetic monopole possessing spin and its potential to generate an electric dipole moment. It discusses the fundamental concepts of magnetic monopoles, spin, and electric dipoles, analyzing how the interaction between these properties might lead to observable effects. The findings suggest that the presence of a spinning magnetic monopole could indeed create an electric dipole, contributing to the understanding of particle physics and electromagnetic phenomena.

TL;DR Summary
Results in electric dipole?
If you have a magnetic monopole with non-zero spin, would this result in an electric dipole? Just like an electric charge with spin results in a magnetic dipole?

You seem to think that the spin causes the dipole, perhaps it's more involved than just considering the spin?

Yes, a spinning monopole is expected to have a non-vanishing electric dipole moment. For example, see: Electric Dipole Moment of Magnetic Monopole, where the introduction states:

As background, of course, magnetic monopoles don't exist in the Standard Model and have never been observed. It is a logical possibility that Nature doesn't seem to have been interested in trying out.

But are there more rigorous explanations about why they should not exist ?

IIRC there are proof that there should be either one magnetic monopole in the entire universe or none at all. General background at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_monopole
