In summary, mastering second order partial differential equations (PDEs) is crucial for achieving high-quality 3D prints. A PhD student shares their journey of understanding and utilizing PDEs in 3D printing, from learning the fundamentals of PDEs to applying them in real-world scenarios. Through trial and error, the student gains a deeper understanding of how PDEs can impact the printing process and produce more accurate and efficient prints. By mastering second order PDEs, the student is able to produce complex and precise 3D prints, showcasing the importance of this skill in the field of 3D printing.

I'm a PhD student in 3D printing struggling with second order partial differential equations. I have experience with calculus thanks to my Astrophysics bachelor and masters but I think I reached my limit.
