Mechanical Engineering graduate... "Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!"
I'm always interested in the way things work, but I'm not sure what I want to do when I grow up. I've dabbled in electricity/electronics from when transistors began to take over from vacuum tubes; studied weather, oceanography, and underwater acoustics, and there was a time when I was reasonably adept at celestial navigation. I've taught math and applied physics, performed forensic studies on failed foundations in expansive clay soils, and find carpentry and woodworking to be an exceptionally therapeutic hobby.
