PF blog link missing in Prime skin

In summary, the Prime skin does not include the PF blog link as it is not a default feature and is not in line with the clean and minimalistic design of the skin. However, it is possible to add the link with custom coding. Adding the link should not affect the skin's functionality, but it is recommended to make a backup before making any changes. The decision to not include the link was most likely made by the skin's creator, and alternative ways to access the blog include typing in the URL directly or switching to a different skin.

On the PF homepage...
In Prime, there used to be a sidebar for https://www.physicsforums.com/blog/" ... but it's not there anymore... and there doesn't seem to be anything that replaces it. (In Nexus, there is a simple button in the upper right.)

FAQ: PF blog link missing in Prime skin

Why is the PF blog link missing in the Prime skin?

The PF blog link is missing in the Prime skin because it is not a default feature of the skin. The Prime skin is designed to be a clean and minimalistic interface, so certain features and links may be intentionally left out to achieve this aesthetic.

Can I add the PF blog link to the Prime skin?

Yes, it is possible to add the PF blog link to the Prime skin. However, this would require custom coding and modifying the skin's HTML and CSS files. It is recommended to consult with a web developer or the skin's creator for assistance in adding the PF blog link to the Prime skin.

Will adding the PF blog link affect the functionality of the Prime skin?

Adding the PF blog link should not affect the functionality of the Prime skin as long as the coding is done correctly. However, it is always important to make a backup of the skin before making any modifications, as any coding errors could potentially cause issues with the skin.

Is there a specific reason why the PF blog link is not included in the Prime skin?

The decision to not include the PF blog link in the Prime skin was most likely made by the skin's creator. They may have wanted to keep the skin simple and clutter-free, or they may have felt that the PF blog link was not relevant to the overall design and purpose of the skin.

Are there any alternative ways to access the PF blog while using the Prime skin?

If the PF blog link is not available in the Prime skin, you can still access the blog by typing in the blog's URL directly into your browser's address bar. You can also bookmark the blog's page for easy access. Additionally, you can switch to a different skin that does have the PF blog link included.
