It's Bad Enough...

...that you are selling drugs out of your office, Mr. Principal, but don't you think masturbating to gay porn in your office after a sale is a bit over the top?

The first part of that story broke yesterday (there were snippets on national news), the second today. It defies comprehension.
A 50-year-old principal was found naked in his school office while watching gay pornography on Tuesday, according to sources. Sex toys were found nearby, the sources added.

Police said John Acerra was a longtime teacher and principal in the Bethlehem Area School District, but was also allegedly selling crystal meth out of his school office.

Acerra, of Allentown, was the principal of Nitschmann Middle School in Bethlehem, and was arrested minutes after he arranged to sell the notoriously addictive drug to a police informant, according to investigators.

Police arrived and found meth and drug paraphernalia on his desk, according to court papers...

This is beyond belief.

I believe it, sadly. Perhaps I've become too cynical in my young age.

Scum is everywhere, nothing new.

It is fairly new in the school system. When it happens in the principals office it is time to: "get a rope".

 and that's a reasonable reaction.

In the old west, it was a sign of some slight respect if you were hanged with a new rope.

Hysteria mounting...
Is there any evidence at all he has been selling drugs to pupils, or tried to have sex with them?

Of course, although it is not mentioned in his employment contract, one could say that in-office masturbation violates the trust between the employer and the employee.

I see it like Arildno does. Also, this is public land, so I don't think there is any implicit right to privacy.

Of course the meth is just a plain old felony.

edit: Arildno, I would think there is some sort of "acceptable behavior" noted as a part of the school's code of conduct.

The job of a Principal is hard enough without worrying about being caught red-handed watching porn and trying to run a distrubution business! Poor guy!

I also feel sorry for the low wage janitorial worker(s) that were exposed to ... OH GOD, WHATEVER!... in his office on their nightly rounds of cleaning/sanitizing.

As does in-office listening to Britney Spears on your radio.

Ivan, I made no claim of the right to privacy as a legal defence.

Well, it seems that he was tying to lend moral (?) support to pastor Ted.

Masturbating to gay porn? Well, that's one principal Bart wouldn't want to say, "Eat my shorts, man!" to.
