Homework Statement
I'm writing a few paragraphs for an assignment on the RapiTest soil test kit. Considering what happens in clay soil, can the Rapitest kit detect nitrate, ammonia, both, or neither? And what is really being tested for when it comes to nitrogen in the kit?
I've already done a little research on clay soil and how it prevents many plants from growing on a chemical and physical level, but I'm having trouble relating it to the RapiTest's ability to detect nitrate or ammonia. I can't seem to find information about the RapiTest that isn't biased either (them trying to sell you the kit). It seems like I've read a few reviews about the test not being able to detect nitrates or ammonia, but I don't feel like a review on the Internet is a credible source.
I would really appreciate maybe a link to an article I could read or just general advice in what direction to go. Thanks for any help!
