In summary, the people who used to be here and they're not anymore but you still remember them. They might come back here one day and see that and get happy.

Well, I wasn't here for 8 days and that's kind of long. Surely I was missed by someone.

Everyone naturally misses Self Adjoint and Boulderhead. Unfortunately, they won't be back. :frown:

We miss Woolie of course and SelfAdjoint as Danger mentioned (I didn't know Boulderhead). Then there's SOS2008, Patty, Smurf, LoseYourName, Gale, and Alexandra. Probably more too if I think about it.

I miss the person that used so many commas - Dale something.

And Lisa! - just because she used exclamation points.

I try to forget any poster that uses semicolons, though.

I miss Lisa! too. I see her pop up on occasion though.

Was it DaleSpam or something like that?

El Hombre Invisible I have not seen in a while either.

Franz, Fibonacci... and there was a member who went "on the road" a while back and I can't remember his name.

Thanks for mentioning SOS, Stats. She was my favourite of the missing-in-action lot. It actually hurts a bit to think of her, because we were getting to be pretty decent friends when she disappeared, and she was supposed to come up to visit some time. I think that she'll be most missed in both GD and Political Science. She was a rarity: a particularly articulate and intelligent hell-raiser.

She was participating on another forum for a while, bouncing back and forth between here and there I think. Eventually she tapered off and just stopped posting. I have no idea what happened. She wasn't happy about the way P&WA was being run here and the other forum has pretty scant membership so there isn't much discussion that isn't more or less the same stuff that has been talked about a dozen times before with the same people.

The other forum was actually supposed to be a haven for members kicked or dissatisfied from here, at least in part. TheSmokingMan started the forum. SOS went there as "Heathen". Alexandra was there as "Sophia". SkyHunter posted there for a while and a few others from here. Aside from Smokie and Polly (both in China) Art is the only one that I know from here that still shows up there.

And another name I had forgotten is HonestRoseWater. I haven't seen JamesU (Yomamma) very much either.

(not sure if I spell any of these names correctly:biggrin:)

I've missed your jokes! Actually I met a guy at that forum who's worse than me. Sometimes he drives me crazy by using '!' at the end of any sentence and even words. Now I completely understand your feelings when I used '!' alot.
