As the story goes Schrödinger's cat was in a quantum box with a radiation source, if the device detected a radiation leak it would trigger a device to break a vial of poison, killing the cat. The point of the story is a thought experiment as to if the cat is alive or dead before observation. According to Schrödinger, the cat is in superposition alive and dead until observed.
I was thinking that a wave function cannot "uncollapse". That cat (at some point) had to be observed, as well as all the devices inside before being put in the test box. The cat cannot jump into a wave function just to wait to be observed to fall out of superpostion.
Therefore, the cat is never in super position, it is either alive or dead... we just don't know.
