I disagree with Evo on this one. To someone used to so-called grass style calligraphy, these are quite a pleasing translation of that style to western writing. The wiki page on the subject shows Chinese calligraphy, but I am more acquainted with the Japanese style. I'm not expert enough to say for sure, but the parts where the ink has run out of the brush so that the lines are streaky remind me more of the Japanese style than the Chinese.
