Thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection

In summary, a thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection is an instrument that uses a thermo couple to measure electrical current and display it on a scale. It works by utilizing the Seebeck effect and its full scale deflection refers to the maximum current that can be accurately measured without damaging the instrument. The full scale deflection is determined by the instrument's sensitivity and maximum safe current. However, there are limitations to using a thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection, including accuracy, external factors, and range of measurement.

if thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection is 10 Amp, for 1/5 th scale what is the Reading?

10 amp thermocouple current? Get real.

What I think brahma211 means is a heated junction type ammeter. The current through the ammeter heats a thermocouple indirectly which of course generates a thermocouple voltage which is measured. The type of ammeter has no consequence on 1/5th scale of a 10 amp full scale meter. It should not take more than 4th or 5th grade math to figure this one out.

FAQ: Thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection

1. What is a thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection?

A thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection is a type of ammeter used to measure electrical current in a circuit. It uses a thermo couple, which is a device that converts thermal energy into electrical energy, to measure the current and display it on a scale.

2. How does a thermo couple ammeter work?

A thermo couple ammeter works by using the Seebeck effect, where a temperature difference between two dissimilar metals produces a voltage. This voltage is then converted into a current and measured by the ammeter. The higher the current, the higher the deflection on the scale.

3. What is the significance of full scale deflection?

Full scale deflection refers to the maximum current that can be measured by the ammeter. This is important because it allows the user to accurately measure the current without damaging the instrument. It also indicates the sensitivity of the ammeter, with higher full scale deflection values indicating a more sensitive instrument.

4. How is the full scale deflection of a thermo couple ammeter determined?

The full scale deflection of a thermo couple ammeter is determined by the sensitivity of the instrument and the maximum current that it can safely measure. This is usually indicated on the scale of the ammeter or in the instrument's manual.

5. Are there any limitations to using a thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection?

Yes, there are limitations to using a thermo couple ammeter full scale deflection. These include the maximum current that the ammeter can safely measure, the accuracy of the measurement, and the effect of external factors such as temperature and electromagnetic interference. It is important to understand these limitations and use the ammeter within its specified range for accurate results.
