In summary, the conversation discusses the need to create a panel with connectors for a vacuum chamber. The person is looking for triax female to female 3 slug connectors but is unable to find them. They ask for suggestions on where to buy them or for alternative solutions. Another person suggests looking at an ad in CERN Courier for similar connectors. The individual plans to inquire about the availability of connectors with 3 slots. The conversation ends with a thank you and regards.

Hi!

I wish to create a panel with some connectors for a vacuum chamber. In that panel I wish to put some triax female to female 3 slug connectors, to pass the signal from the inside of the chamber, to a SMU outside the chamber.

I can't find any triax vacuum 3 slug connector. Does anyone know where to buy such thing, or have any idea to accomplish the same result without those connectors?

Cheers!

That's it! I'm going to inquire them about the existence of those connectors but with 3 slot.

Thank you very much for your help!

FAQ: Triax Vacuum Connector - Where to Buy & Alternatives

What is a Triax Vacuum Connector?

A Triax Vacuum Connector is a specialized tool used in scientific research to connect three separate pieces of laboratory equipment together and create a vacuum-tight seal. It is commonly used in experiments that require a controlled vacuum environment, such as in chemistry, physics, and biology.

Where can I buy a Triax Vacuum Connector?

Triax Vacuum Connectors can be purchased from various scientific equipment suppliers, both online and in physical stores. Some popular suppliers include Fisher Scientific, VWR, and Cole-Parmer. It is also possible to purchase directly from the manufacturer, such as Allectra.

What are the alternatives to a Triax Vacuum Connector?

Depending on the specific needs of a research project, there are several alternatives to a Triax Vacuum Connector. These include KF (Klein Flange) fittings, CF (ConFlat) fittings, and ISO fittings. Each type has its own advantages and is suitable for different vacuum applications.

How do I choose the right Triax Vacuum Connector for my experiment?

When choosing a Triax Vacuum Connector, it is important to consider the size and type of the equipment you are connecting, the level of vacuum required, and any special features you may need (such as electrical feedthroughs). It is also important to ensure compatibility between the connector and the vacuum system being used.

Can a Triax Vacuum Connector be reused?

Yes, Triax Vacuum Connectors can typically be reused multiple times as long as they are properly cleaned and maintained. It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and storage to ensure the connector remains in good condition and maintains a tight seal during use.
