Troubleshooting Ion Exchange Membrane Desalination with Comsol - Low Voltage Fix

In summary, the conversation revolves around a person attempting to desalinate seawater using an ion exchange membrane. They mention that their simulation starts with an initial voltage of 5 volts and increases to 7 and 9 volts, but when this data is entered into Comsol, it does not work and gives an error. The person also mentions that when they enter lower voltages such as 0.5, 1, and 1.5 volts, the simulation runs successfully. They ask for help in fixing the issue and later mention checking the initial values and equations for potential solutions.

hello to every on
i m trying to desalinate seawater with an ion exchange membrane.
the initial voltage of my simulation is 5 volt and it increase to 7 and 9Volt
when i insert that data to Comsol it doesn't work and give the below error!

but when i insert the low voltage,for e.g 0.5 , 1, 1.5 Volt ,it run!
help me to fixed it

the pic of error:

Please attach the file here or upload it somewhere else, using attachments from other forums do not work so we cannot see the picture (even if you might be able to see it).

You can try to change the initial values. Or check the equations you want to solve. Without (much) more details, it is impossible to tell what went wrong.

i checked it
in the" study => stationary => parameter value list" if i inter the(0.5,0.5,1.5) the solutioncan converged.
but when i inter (5,7,9) this error happened!.
I really confused!

FAQ: Troubleshooting Ion Exchange Membrane Desalination with Comsol - Low Voltage Fix

What is "Comsol ion exchange help"?

"Comsol ion exchange help" refers to a feature in the Comsol Multiphysics software that allows users to simulate and analyze ion exchange processes. This feature is commonly used in scientific research and engineering applications.

How does "Comsol ion exchange help" work?

"Comsol ion exchange help" uses mathematical models and algorithms to simulate the movement of ions in a system. Users can input parameters such as ion concentration, pH, and temperature to create a virtual environment and analyze the behavior of ions.

What are the benefits of using "Comsol ion exchange help"?

"Comsol ion exchange help" allows for a more efficient and accurate analysis of ion exchange processes compared to manual calculations. It also provides visual representations of ion movement and concentration, making it easier to understand and interpret data.

What types of ion exchange processes can be simulated with "Comsol ion exchange help"?

"Comsol ion exchange help" can simulate a wide range of ion exchange processes, including cation exchange, anion exchange, and mixed bed ion exchange. It can also model different types of ion exchange resins and their properties.

Are there any limitations to "Comsol ion exchange help"?

While "Comsol ion exchange help" is a powerful tool, it is not a replacement for experimental data. The accuracy of the simulations depends on the input parameters and the validity of the mathematical models used. It is always recommended to validate the results with experimental data.
