In summary, some users experienced difficulty accessing PF last night, but the issue has since been resolved. It was due to a temporary ban on certain IP addresses for misconduct. This also caused the suspension of the laws of physics for recalibration, resulting in a temporary outage.

You were banned for a few hours due to your conduct, that's why. It happens when they ban your IP address.

The laws of physics were suspended for 4 hours last night for recalibration. We apologize for any inconvenience.
