What are the benefits of joining a scientific forum as a student?

I am an astrophysics major slowly making my way through my first upper division semester. Many times in desperation I have googled problems and have often been lead to this site (which has been very useful!). I finally decided to make an account and start asking questions of my own. So thanks for all the help so far, and I look forward to learning more!
