In summary, re-entering the physics field after 20 years presents several challenges, including keeping up with advancements in technology and changes in theories, adjusting to a new work culture and environment, and potentially facing ageism and discrimination. It also requires a significant amount of time and effort to refresh and update one's knowledge and skills, and may involve a difficult transition back into the academic or research community. Additionally, the job market and demand for certain specialties may have changed in the past 20 years, making it more challenging to find employment opportunities.

I'll be around
