I'm not sure where to ask this question, apologies if this is the wrong place.
A friend of mine (native Chinese speaker, from Taipei), is helping with a project to translate some physics texts to Chinese for economically disadvantaged children. It seems that Taiwan Chinese and China's Chinese have many different terms for some basic terms such as:
scalar
vector
dot product
cross product
normal
These are the current 'problem' terms. If someone could post the generally accepted translation in either or both of these dialects, or direct me to an online resource, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Shelly
