What are the reasons for seasonal changes on Earth?

In summary, there are two main reasons for seasonal changes on Earth. The first reason is the tilt of Earth's axis, which causes different parts of the planet to receive more or less direct sunlight throughout the year. This results in the four seasons we experience: spring, summer, fall, and winter. The second reason is the Earth's orbit around the sun, which causes the distance between the two to fluctuate. This affects the amount of solar energy that reaches the Earth's surface, leading to variations in temperature and weather patterns. These seasonal changes are essential for maintaining the balance of life on Earth and have a significant impact on agriculture, animal behavior, and human activities.

Seasons
Some mail I received said I had to introduce myself. (and get an avatar - that sounds like a headache!)

I don't really know much about the topics in this board, so I'm probably just going to examine the one topic I posted on. I've been very appreciative of the responses.

I'm sure there is no requirement to formally introduce yourself or make an avatar so you can post in this forum.
Anyway though, Hi there. Welcome to PF.
