i don't usually listen to mp3s anymore i put cds in the drive. here's what I've been playing lately:
byrd's masses for 4 & 5 voices - the sixteen
l'ange et le diable (violin works by piero locatelli & jean-marie leclair) - rare fruits council
rachmaninov's vespers (aka all-nite vigil) - sveshnikov & ussr academic chamber choir (on vinyl)
victoria's requiem - the sixteen
a venetian xmas - paul mccreesh & gabrieli consort
project gotham soundtrack
wip3out & wip3out xl soundtracks
festa's 32 variations on the theme 'la spagna' - huelgas ensemble & paul van nevel
utopia triumphans - huelgas/nevel
l'arte de fantasia - andrew lawrence-king & the harp consort
schmelzer's unaram fidium violin sonatas & bertali's chaconne - john holloway
biber's 1681 violin sonatas (as opposed to his mystery/rosary sonatas) - john holloway
misc works played by fabio biondi; stuff composed by gemignani, locatelli, legranzi, boccherini, tartini
bach's suites for viola da gamba & harpsichord - linden/egarr

that's about all i can think of right now. i guess most ppl haven't heard of a lot of those composers or performers. some of them play the obsure stuff on purpose because it's obscure (& it's good also), especially the rare fruits council & huelgas ensemble. paul van nevel, especially, seems to spend all his spare time digging through dusty old manuscripts in libraries in europe, looking for "lost treasure" that hasn't been played in 100s of years.

My last 10 mp3s were the last 10 chapters of "Entanglement-The greatest mystery in physics" by Amir Aczel
My next 10 will be the first 10 chapters of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest"
Oh, and I sometimes listen to "Let's Get it On'~ Marvin Gaye and "Where'd all the good people go" ~Jack Johnson and everything ever recorded by Van Morrison is sometimes playing in the background. If I ever get a soundtrack for my life I'd have Van Morrison do it. He's great as long as you keep him in the background.

if you don't like rap i don't think you have very eclectic taste in music. i like everything on that list, all that baroque/renaissance & techno stuff on my list above, jazz (mostly guitar), black metal (dimmu borgir, leviathan, cradle of filth, bathory), some rap, 60s/70s stuff (the who, rolling stones, led zepplin, etc) & my favourite band is pink floyd & i don't try to brag about my 'very eclectic' taste in music. that's because I'm likely to come across someone like a local used cd/vinyl store owner who says he likes japanese jazz, which is more far-out than anything I've ever heard.
