We're having a movie premiere tonight. We have a lot of them out here in Westwood. Tonight the premiere is for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

I had to go down to another location this morning to set up some computers and I walked by the movie theater. It was only 10 AM and there was a huge line of people wrapped around the block. The celebrities won't even walk down the red carpet until about 7:30 PM tonight. All of that waiting just to get a glimpse of a celeb. I just wouldn't have the patience!

So what/who are you willing to wait in line for?

You, my dear, and only you. :!)

Good answer! And very practical - I can assure you the line for me is much shorter than the one for Angelina!

I'd wait for Brad and Angie if I could give Brad a noogie on his goofy lookin' head, and give Angie a super wedgie. I don't know why. I just want to give her a wedgie. Somebody should work that into a script somewhere.

I'd wait a long time to speak with Ghandi, or Yoda. Both equally.

Hmm, It would be kind of funny to give Ghandi a wedgie too.

I think sometimes that Angelina has never managed to settle down with a man because she hasn't met the one who isn't afraid to run up and give her a wedgie. You might be the one she's been waiting for. :approve:

I've never been much of a Pitt-ophile. I think he's a good actor but I don't think he is as devastating handsome as all the hype would lead you to believe.

I was just thinking.. I wonder how many dangerous, psychotic stalkers are down there in that line?

If only I had known that was the secret! I would have stalked Julia Roberts or Selma Hayek and pantsed them long ago.

He has his moments as an actor I suppose. I still haven't figured out why the hell he keeps oing that hand gesture thing. You know, where he shakes his hands in the air like he's flicking water off his finger tips. What's that all about?

I'd wait in line to meet those people, just out of a morbid sense of curiousity. What is the life of a dangerous, psychotic stalker like? I've asked Artman, but he won't tell me anything.

Probably quite a few.

I really don't understand why someone would waste an entire day standing around in a line just to get a look at another person. I can't really think of anything that I'd stand in line that long to do. I might be willing to stand in line an hour or two for something, though it'd really have to be good, and I'd have to have a lot of company to talk to so I didn't get bored. Maybe if I was guaranteed to be handed a large wad of cash when I got to the end of the line, I might do it.

...oh wait... i'd totally stand in line forever to look at LeBrad...
...hm... speaking of stalkers...

Sometimes just standing in line can be good entertainment. If I knew what I was waiting for it would ruin it, but if I saw a line and didn't know what it was for I would be tempted to just stand in it and see what all the hubub (nonsense word?) was about. Must be remnants from my navy days. Standing in line meant I was getting fed.

You've been classically conditioned. Does waiting in line make you salivate?

  Yeah, I suppose if that was the only way I was getting fed, I'd stand in line too. I don't suppose they encourage catching your own sushi from Navy ships, do they? Might need a lot of line to fish from the decks of those ships though.

I don't do well in lines, I'm more of a person that finds inventive ways to get in.

There is absolutely no one who I would wait in line to just see. Now if Angelina was planning on doing some with me if I waited, then that would be another story :!)

I won't stand in line for more than five minutes even if food is involved. I'm one of those people that will leave a restaurant if I have to wait more than a few minutes. I'm definitely not going to wait in line for some lame "celebrity".

Are you kidding? Do you know what is in that water? 3000 men make quite a mess. Oh, there were as many as 5 women too. Not to mention the trash and 55 gallon drums of oily rags and hydraulic fluid. (The nasty kind that absorbs through your skin and causes cancer.)

I haven't really noticed. I'm usually too busy scratching my ear with my flipper foot to pay any attention.

*considers joining the Navy* I like those odds. Even with a 5-way split, I might actually find one worth keeping! Though, if you had more women on board, it might not be such a mess! :-p

Who are you trying to kid?! You'd have the whole flight deck converted to a mud-wrestling pit ten minutes after you got aboard.

I didn't mean mess as in a messy room. I meant mess as in a meal, and the end result of that meal. All in the water where one would fish. That's how mad sailor disease spreads.

If you joined the navy those guys would be off limits. Not that that sort of thing doesn't happen, but people who get caught suffer heavy penalties. You would probably be an officer anyway and fraternizing in such a way with an enlisted man at the same command could end your career. It's better just to hang out at the clubs near the docks, which are usually dives frequented chiefly by sailors. Don't get too attached though because he will be leaving for a cruise for 6 months or more every two years and he'll be out to sea about a week or two every month. I've seen many a marriage break up. I've seen guys break up with their girlfriends over the phone in a foreign country. There was one guy who came back from a cruise and his girlfriend had moved and never told him where she went. She took all his stuff too. The navy isn't a good place to be if you are serious about companionship, unless you are very dedicated. Many people (sailors included) don't have what it takes to keep a relationship with a sailor going.

I know, I was just joking around.

On the other hand, there are some marriages that might benefit from this sort of arrangement. Even given that schedule, he might still be home more than me!

If you can explain the movie stars, maybe you could explain why people do the same thing just to see movies like star wars and lord of the rings...

Buy the dvd for lord's sake!

Whoah! That's a big leap from not standing in lines for half the day to buying a DVD! I won't stand in a long line for a movie, and am patiently waiting for the crowds to die down before I go see Star Wars, but I still want to see it on the big screen rather than on a DVD! Watching it on my dinky TV just loses all the impact of seeing it on a big screen with the full surround sound.
