What happened to the ability to hide text with color on message boards?

In summary, the conversation is discussing the use of hidden text on a board. The old method of obfuscating text by assigning it a color the same as the background (eg. E3E3E3) may no longer be available. However, some boards have a spoiler tag that hides text until clicked on. The method for writing hidden text may be found in the + menu.

The old board had a way to obfuscate text by assigning it a color the same as the background (eg. E3E3E3). Has that gone away?

Some boards have an actual 'spoiler' formatting that hides the text until you click on it.

How can I write hidden text?(P.S. Title is supposed to be Spoiler tag / text colour gone?)

FAQ: What happened to the ability to hide text with color on message boards?

What is a spoiler tag?

A spoiler tag is a formatting tool used to hide sensitive or revealing information from readers until they choose to reveal it.

How does a spoiler tag work?

A spoiler tag works by using HTML code to hide the text behind a clickable button or link. When the reader clicks on the button, the hidden text is revealed.

Why would someone use a spoiler tag?

People use spoiler tags to prevent revealing important plot points or spoilers for TV shows, movies, books, or other forms of media. This allows readers or viewers to avoid certain information if they have not yet experienced the media.

Can I customize the text colour of a spoiler tag?

Yes, you can customize the text colour of a spoiler tag by using CSS code. This allows you to make the hidden text blend in with the background or change to a different colour when revealed.

Are there any other uses for spoiler tags?

Aside from hiding spoilers, spoiler tags can also be used to hide answers or solutions to puzzles or quizzes, create interactive content, or add a surprise element to a webpage or blog post.
