In summary, a mechanical engineer can bring valuable insights to technical discussions through their strong understanding of how machines and systems work. They are trained to analyze complex problems and find practical solutions, making them valuable contributors to discussions on technical issues. Additionally, their knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes can provide valuable input on the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions. Their skills in project management and communication also make them effective team members in technical discussions, as they are able to coordinate and convey ideas effectively. Overall, a mechanical engineer's expertise in problem-solving, materials, and project management make them a valuable asset in technical discussions.

I was messing around on google one day and it came up...
I have a national diploma in mechanical engineering and have over 10 years experience working in different technical positions. i like lurking on sites like this cause you never know what you will see. i post my opinions when i feel i have something to add.
