In summary, the best textbook for General Physics II with a calculus supplement is "University Physics with Modern Physics" by Hugh D. Young and Roger A. Freedman. This comprehensive textbook covers all the necessary topics in General Physics II, including electromagnetism, optics, and modern physics, and also provides a strong foundation in calculus-based problem solving. It also includes numerous examples, practice problems, and conceptual questions to help students fully grasp the material. Overall, "University Physics with Modern Physics" is highly recommended for students looking for a thorough and well-rounded textbook for General Physics II.

Hello Everyone,

I've learned a lot from this forum so figured it was time to join and show some support. I'm taking General Physics II (4 units) with a calculus supplement (1 unit), specially designed for architecture and biology majors. Not really hard core, but not so easy, either. Our text is Open Stax "College Physics" which IMHO is not so hot.

I'll be asking lots of questions, so thanks in advance for any and all help.

Chuck
