What is the reason for density perturbations in the CMB?

In summary, density perturbations in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) arise from quantum fluctuations during the inflationary period of the early universe. These fluctuations were stretched to macroscopic scales, leading to variations in density as the universe expanded. As regions of space cooled, matter and radiation decoupled, allowing these density variations to imprint temperature fluctuations in the CMB, which we observe today as slight anisotropies in the uniform background radiation.

I could not find an answer by checking the web. Could these perturbations originate from primordial black holes? What else?
