In summary, an art major became interested in quantum mechanics and cosmology after attending a lecture on the topic and realizing the connections between art and science. This sparked a curiosity in understanding the fundamental laws of the universe and how they can be expressed through art. The art major also found inspiration in the beauty and mystery of the cosmos, leading them to further explore these complex concepts and their potential impact on both art and humanity.

Well, I've been lurking for a while, but...

Hi! I am a new physics undergrad, coming from the art world (I have a BFA in Studio Art, digital/electronic art emphasis). I discovered the universe of physics through an art project and here I am!

I am insanely interested in quantum mechanics (not sure there's a way to be sanely interested in the subject). Also interested in cosmology, optics, and robotics.

This forum has already provided me with loads of information and inspiration. I hope I can keep up with you guys!
