In summary, there have been several discussions about COVID-19 on different topics such as containment efforts, vaccine progress, and impact on jobs. However, there is no specific thread where people can share their personal experiences of contracting and recovering from the virus. The author encourages those who have recently recovered from SARS-CoV-2 to share their experiences and answer questions about their initial reaction, the attitude of their neighbors, and the support they received from local authorities. The author also allows sharing the experience of someone else with their permission. It is requested to stay on topic and not deviate from the main discussion.

Recently, we have had threads related to COVID-19 like containment efforts, vaccine progress, impact on jobs, etc. But I could not find a thread where people can share their experiences when they, or someone they know, have contracted the virus and recovered from the disease.

So, if you contracted SARS-CoV-2 in the near past, go ahead and share your experience. What was your reaction when you first learned that you were COVID positive? What was the attitude of your neighbours when they learned about it? Did the local authorities help you and your family during this difficult time? During the isolation period, how did you keep yourself cheerful and engaged?

You may also share the experience of someone you know who contracted and recovered from the disease, but please do so with permission from that person.

Please do not deviate from the main topic of the thread.

N.B.: I hope this topic is allowed; if not, mentors can go ahead and close this thread.

Until now I've kept my father far from COVID, and from common cold. He is 86 years old:bow:
