So when I move to atlanta, I have basically found out that I'll be able to fly out to various places at amazingly cheap prices ($80 to philidelphia non-stop? $120 to where I live in california??). The thing is, obviously the price you pay depends on when you book. When I select a flight in 3 weeks, it's $$$. When I select a flight 2 or 3 months down the road, it's super cheap. However, if I select a flight 6-7 months down the road, it starts becoming expensive. Not nearly as much as a flight in 2-3 weeks, but at least 25-50% higher than the cheap rate.
Does anyone know how this stuff all kinda works? Is there really a "good time" to buy tickets?
