When you "make" a magnet is PE created?
Okay my understanding of a magnet is that if a magnetic material is placed in it's field then the Magnetic Potential Energy is converted to Kinetic Energy in the object and thus you get the attractive force and movement in the object which subsequently reduces the Potential Energy the field has on the object. That is all fine and dandy but what happens if you make a material magnetic? Does it all of a sudden create a potential for all other magnetic objects to lose energy in the form of kinetic?
Cheers,
Jordan
