In summary, PF chess is a variant of traditional chess that allows players to make two moves in a row, known as "forwarding moves". It was never widely popular and eventually disappeared due to lack of support. However, it is still possible to play PF chess online. The reception among chess players was mixed, with some enjoying the added complexity and strategy while others did not consider it a true form of the game. Other variants of chess involving forwarding moves exist, but they have different rules and gameplay compared to PF chess.

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the specific platform or website called "PF chess." However, it is possible that it was shut down or discontinued for various reasons such as financial issues, lack of user interest, or technical difficulties. It is also possible that the creators of PF chess moved on to other projects or ventures. Without more information, it is difficult to determine the exact reason for its disappearance.
