Hello all
I need help, please recommend a good source for electromagnetism for a high school student, but it should be a bit brief and gives a good understanding of the topic. I am supposed to go over merely those concepts in a matter of hours.

- Inductor

- Lenz's Law

- Back emf

- Inductor charging and discharging

- Energy storage

- RL circuit

- time constant

- Exponential charge/discharge

Have you tried reading about those topics at wikipedia? That should give you pretty good introductions to the concepts.

FAQ: Where to Find Brief High School Level Resources on Electromagnetism Topics?

What is electromagnetism?

Electromagnetism is a branch of physics that deals with the study of the interaction between electrically charged particles and magnetic fields. It describes the relationship between electricity and magnetism, and how they are interconnected.

How does an electromagnet work?

An electromagnet is created by running an electric current through a wire coiled around a metal core. This creates a magnetic field around the core, making it act like a magnet. The strength of the electromagnet can be controlled by adjusting the amount of current flowing through the wire.

What are the applications of electromagnetism?

Electromagnetism has numerous practical applications, such as in generators, motors, transformers, electric motors, and speakers. It also plays a crucial role in technology, such as in the development of telecommunication devices, MRI machines, and particle accelerators.

How does electromagnetism affect our daily lives?

Electromagnetism is all around us and plays a significant role in our daily lives. It is responsible for the functioning of household appliances, transportation systems, and electronic devices. It also enables us to communicate through cellular phones and access the internet.

What are some common misconceptions about electromagnetism?

One common misconception is that electromagnetism is the same as gravity. While both are fundamental forces of nature, they are entirely different and have distinct properties. Another misconception is that electricity and magnetism are separate phenomena, when in fact, they are closely related and interconnected.
