Top liberal arts colleges are good in most subjects they offer. Make sure they have 5+ physicists on staff (many do) so you'll have a range of research projects available. I studied physics at Smith, did research on campus and at other great schools and labs in college, and got into a range of graduate schools. Just finished my PhD and got a great postdoc.
