Which of them
1.Polar Dielectric molecule
2. Non Polar molecule
Will get polarized to a greater extent when kept in a uniform electric field?
(I think its the 2nd one because force applied has to stretch the positive and negative charge centres apart to polarise it.. But at the same time for polar molecule we have to in addition rearrange to get a net dipole moment)
Its really ll getting confusing... Please explain.
