Hi! It's been a while since I've taken physics, but I've always been interested in how things work and, in particular, why things tend to be designed one way and not another. I've found that those questions usually tend to involve physics based answers, so I thought I'd make an account here. Nice to meet you all!

Nice to have you here on the forums, I look forward to seeing your questions in the forums! When you say things that are designed a certain way, what do you mean? Are you interested more in things like why a car is a certain shape, or why is the design of a guitar a certain way, or why buildings are only a certain height?

Why a guitar is designed a certain way is probably closest. That kind of thing.

Very cool, if you are curious about why acoustic guitars are designed the way they are, or why they have pickups in the body or anything like that feel free to ask in the forums and I am sure you will get some engaging responses! Fun fact, did you know that the cover for sewer holes (the round pizza shaped ones) are circle shaped because any other shape would cause the cover to slip through the hole? It's more of a geometry answer to a real life problem, but it's true! A triangle would be able to slip into another triangle at the angle. As would a square! I thought that was pretty interesting first time I heard that.
