I can understand the importance of accuracy and efficiency in document formatting. Utilizing fields in Word 2007 to automatically update headings is a great way to ensure consistency and save time when making changes to your document.

By making your heading a field entry, you are creating a link between the heading and its references in the body of your document. This means that any changes made to the heading will automatically update all of its references in the body, eliminating the need for manual updates.

This feature can be particularly useful when working on large documents or collaborating with others, as it ensures that all references to the heading remain accurate and up-to-date.

I am glad to hear that you have found this solution after searching for over a month. It is a valuable tool for maintaining the integrity of your document and I encourage you to continue utilizing it in your work.
