Other Your thoughts about "International Journal of Theoretical Physics"

AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around the legitimacy of the "International Journal of Theoretical Physics," following previous concerns about predatory journals. The user highlights that their paper was transferred from the "Journal of Foundations of Physics," which they consider valid, and notes that the journal is associated with Springer. They have successfully published one paper and received a recommendation for publication with minor revisions on a second paper. Despite these positive developments, the user expresses caution, recalling the adage that "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." They seek advice on whether to proceed with publication in this journal or to consider more reputable options. The consensus indicates that while the journal is legitimate, it is not ranked among top-tier journals.

A year ago, I asked a question about two journals, both of which were predatory ( https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/are-open-access-journals-legit-for-my-cv.990744/ ). Thanks to the overwhelming advice I have received, I did NOT publish in either of those journals.

Right now I am asking a question about a different journal, that I did not ask before. Namely, I am asking about "International Journal of Theoretical Physics". Two things that makes it seem legit is that

a) My paper was sent there by a transfer desk at "Journal of Foundations of Physics", and I assume that one to be valid
b) I believe it is part of Springer just like the "Foundations of Physics" one is

However, what happened is that I got the first paper published (the one transferred by the transferred desk), and now I have the second paper recommended for publication with "minor revisions" (and this second paper I submitted on my own without any transfer desk involved). Now, given my track record that it is very difficult for me to get anything published, I am starting to remember the saying "if it seems too good to be true it probably is". Can you take a look at that journal and let me know if it is worth it publishing there, or whether I should look for better journals?

Thank you.

It's legit. It's also not a top journal.

TL;DR Summary: What topics to cover to safely say I know arithmetic ? I am learning arithmetic from Indian NCERT textbook. Currently I have finished addition ,substraction of 2 digit numbers and divisions, multiplication of 1 digit numbers. I am moving pretty slowly. Can someone tell me what topics to cover first to build a framework and then go on in detail. I want to learn fast. It has taken me a year now learning arithmetic. I want to speed up. Thanks for the help in advance. (I also...
Hi community My aim is to get into research about atoms, specifically, I want to do experimental research that explores questions like: 1. Why do Gallium/Mercury have low melting points 2. Why are there so many exceptions and inconsistencies when it comes to explaining molecular structures / reaction mechanisms in inorganic and organic chemistry 3. Experimental research about fundamental Quantum Mechanics, such as the one being followed by Hiroshima university that proved that observing...
guys i am currently studying in computer science engineering [1st yr]. i was intrested in physics when i was in high school. due to some circumstances i chose computer science engineering degree. so i want to incoporate computer science engineering with physics and i came across computational physics. i am intrested studying it but i dont know where to start. can you guys reccomend me some yt channels or some free courses or some other way to learn the computational physics.
