Aerospace is a term used to collectively refer to the atmosphere and outer space. Aerospace activity is very diverse, with a multitude of commercial, industrial and military applications. Aerospace engineering consists of aeronautics and astronautics. Aerospace organizations research, design, manufacture, operate, or maintain aircraft and spacecraft.
The beginning of space and the ending of the air is considered as 100 km (62 mi) above the ground according to the physical explanation that the air pressure is too low for a lifting body to generate meaningful lift force without exceeding orbital velocity.
Firstly, what is astrophysics exactly? Is it the same as astronomy?
Also, can I study astrophysics after studying aerospace engineering?
If so, is it worthwhile? or I just get simply two kinds of degrees?
Aerospace or Aeronautical?

i want to learn a second language but i need ur advice what you think about the secondary language is better in this industry. i am in trouble with german, french and spanish. german seems closer but i want to ask you, too. thanks for ur care..
Does anybody know of a book that addreses/talks about how Prandtl showed that an aircraft passing overhead will leave a "footprint" on the Earth in the form of an extremely small pressure change over a huge area?
I'm currently a high school senior applying to colleges, planning to major in aerospace engineering. However, I am concerned about the job outlook and employment locations for the field. I was to work in a R&D department of a major cororation but also want to stay reasonably close to home (NY)...
Please read, it's for a PLTW term paper!
Hello, I am a high school student enrolled in the PLTW (Project Lead the Way: Principles of Engineering) Program, and I was instructed to do a term paper on any type of engineering. I have chosen aerospace engineering, and I am required to conduct an...
Can you guys give me some advice?
I'm in Arizona, (Arizona State University) and I'm got accepted to the Aersospace program. I've heard that their Aerospace program isn't that great. I'm alright with moving to anywhere in the country for a good college and experience.
What would be your...
Hello all,
Hopefully you can shed some light on this for me. Currently I'm attending college for Mechanical Engineering but I'm not sure if this is the branch of engineering I want to go down.
What are the main differences of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering?
What would make you...
I was wondering who here went to university to do an undergrad degree in aerospace engineering, where you went and how difficult (ie grades, sat scores etc...) it was to get accepted? I've done my research on the various schools in North America that offer the program and some of them give a...
Hello, I have enrolled in aerospace engineering at university and I am trying to figure out what kind of jobs I'm going to be training for specifically. Does anyone have a hint?
My name is Eugene Joseph, and I am currently a sophomore at St.Francis Prep in Fresh Meadows, New York. I am enrolled in a program which is called Science Research.
Science Research is a class in which we register within our freshman year and in which we develop an understanding of what type...
Hey,
I was wondering what the main differences are between an aerospace eng and mech eng undergrad program. I've been looking into aerospace but there are very very few (i think 2) universities in Canada that offer it as an undergraduate study. (UofT and Carleton). So what does it offer...
Lifetimes of Aerospace Hardware
Preserving the viability of complex machines and electronics for extended periods: Is it feasible with today’s technology to design equipment that will be capable of withstanding interstellar space for a period up to 150 years? One example that illustrates some...
Hey everyone,
I was just wondering what the difference is between aerospace and aeronautical engineering, what each program focuses on, what its amied toward, the post-university job market of each...basically all the guts of each program.
Thanks,

Aerospace...what to expect??
Im thinking of switching my major from applied physics to Aerospace eng... I am really good at calculus and fairly good with physics. Is Aersopace going to be ridiculously hard, or just as hard as anything else compared to how much studying you put forth? And how...
Why do only a few engineering students take Aerospace engineering where as many of those take Mechanical and Electrical engineering at the Universities?
most airplanes are designed so that the outer tips of the wing are higher than the wing roots attached to the fuselage in order to:
streamline the fuselage.
i remember that's the reason, but i think I'm wrong.
Hi,
I am an undergrad Aerospace engineering student, and I am going to start my junior year this Spring. I'm really interested in what I'm studying, but the job market for Aerospace engineers is predominantly federal. Does anyone know of, or can think of, or work for a company that is in need...
