A diagram is a symbolic representation of information using visualization techniques. Diagrams have been used since ancient times on walls of caves, but became more prevalent during the Enlightenment. Sometimes, the technique uses a three-dimensional visualization which is then projected onto a two-dimensional surface. The word graph is sometimes used as a synonym for diagram.
Like so. Can we already do this? Does anyone else want to? I think it would be helpful. For explaining some things, trees are just so much clearer than anything else. What I can do in code seems quite limited.

I'm having a lot of trouble drawing ray diagrams (this is for a lab assignment). If anyone could give me some tips or links to websites that are helpful in teaching how to draw ray diagrams that would be great. One example of a problem is: A 1-cm tall arrow (the object) is placed 2 cm to the...
Hi, I am currently doing the write up for a project (Mercury spectroscopy), and would like to put some energy level diagrams in, with the transitions being shown.
Does anyone know any software (preferably free/open source) that could do this, or help? Or if there is a way to do it in latex...
i want to transform the black diagram into a series and parellel circuit (as u a see that the black diagram isn't exactly series or parellel). i made the two top left resistors into one (blue circle), and i want to do the same thing for the other two in green circle. however, if i make the top...

How the stress-strain diagram of Cast Iron differs from that of Stailless Steel?
If someone can post a link of a website from where I can find stress-strain diagrams of different materials, it would be very helpful for me.
Thanks in advance!
Can anyone direct me to some good sites describing how to construct phasor diagrams based on different circuits? Didn't have much luck using search engines.
A physical process can be represented by Feynman diagrams, each with a complex amplitude.
Squaring the sum of these amplitudes gives the rate at which a process occurs.
Since a rate can be a frequency, doesn't this imply that before the sum of amplitudes is squared, we are dealing with the...

Into "the past"?: Tricky SpaceTime Diagrams?
It's commonly stated that according to GR, traveling faster than light would mean going backwards in time (to "the past").
When I try to picture the situation with the aid of a spacetime (light-cone) diagram, I still don't get why should it lead...
I am studying Obversion for the first time in terms of Venn Diagrams. I'm am struggling to understand the conventions.

Hi, I'm typing up all my maths notes for when I go to university and I have some fairly good programs for displaying all the maths symbols etc. However could someone please point me in the direction of a good program that I could use to quickly make graphs of functions or easily make diagrams to...
I read a book called hyperspace. And in it it mentioned that 4 d diagrams are unperciveable by man and he can picturize only in 3 D. Is that the opinion of everybody? Because i believe that dimensions are themselves only projections of shadows of points. THis is probably already known, i really...

So I have a midterm on Bode Diagrams and Root-Locus on Thursday...and I can not do either. At this point I am only focusing on the Bode diagrams because they are a bit easier and I want to master them now so that I can devote the rest of my time to the Root-Locus.

Hey all,
I'm a junior in high school and taking physics. My teacher isn't really one of the best teachers, and we do nothing from a textbook, all done from her drawings/lectures from a whiteboard.
It's safe to say I'm just about completely lost in that class. We have a test coming up...

I hope that makes sense
