Well like the title says I'm buying a new telescope and would like to know what y'all think would be the best for looking at Galaxies and Nebulas, PRICE IS NOT A PROBLEM though I would like to keep it lower then $3,500.
Hi,
I have a HF transmitter rated with 200mW output power. An antenna is connected to the transmitter via a 50 ohm coax cable. (The antenna is also matched to 50 ohm.)
Does this mean that from the transmitters point of veiw, a 50 ohm resistor is connected as load?
Can I find the current...
I've just started a linguistics book, and I'd like to get others' opinions on two points that I have reservations about. I get the sense that they may be overstating things a bit in trying to make the case for Universal Grammar.
I was going to let this go, but they bring it up elsewhere too...
Hi
I need to "plot the output response of the system shown to the input stimulus given"
I suppose it would help if i knew where to start, but I'll try and explain as best I can.
There are two drawings.
Drawing 1 - shows a rectangle with 1 / 1 +0.5s inside and a line drawn...
In a welding process,i am welding two plates. The welding current is 110A and welding voltage is 20V. Suppose 100% of this electric energy is
converted to heat then the heat energy generated is 110x20. i.e., 2.2KJ/sec.
Suppose the length of the plate is 2 metres, How can i calculate what is...
Hi,
if anyone has successfully done an egg project like this, I would really appreciate any input.
The thread is in the general engineering section.
thanks
Can anyone figure out the input impedance of the circuit I have attached?
Does anyone know a THOROUGH definition of input impedance? output impedance?
Output impedance is equivalent to the thevenin impedance, which mean we turn off all voltage/current sources. But for input impedance...
I have been having a discussion with a friend for the past few days, and we are in sort of a stand still on a problem. We would greatly appreciate some input into our discussion.
The question is this: A hollow spherical object weighs ten pounds with a certain density, and size floats in...

sounds good, i don't know all the details of all the technical physics **** he was talking about, but ill do that later.
Here's my problem:
For each kW of power input to an icemaker at steady state, determine the maximum rate that ice can be produced in kg/h, from liquid water at 0 C. Assume that 333 kJ/kg of energy must be removed by heat transfer to freeze water at 0 C, and that the surroundings are at 20 C...
okay, I Don't quite grasp this concept but!. Vo/Vi = No/Ni.
And I have this problem. A Generator at a power plant produces AC at 24,000 V.A transformer steps this up to 345,000 V for transmission over power lines. IF there are 2000 turns of wire in the input coil of the transformer, how many...
A straight horizontal pipe with a diameter of 1.0 cm and a length of 50 m carries oil with a coefficient of viscosity of 0.12 N · s/m2. At the output of the pipe, the flow rate is 9.0 10-5 m3/s and the pressure is 1.0 atmosphere. Find the gauge pressure at the pipe input
I used the formula...
Ok, Currently I'm enrolled in a phyics based major, at an Ohio university. I'm thinking about transfering in about a year or two to a engineering school. I love working with anything airplane related, and i have a natural nact for that stuff as well. I was looking at an AE program but they deal...
Hello,
I am exactly half-way through a degree in engineering physics. At my school, most students are either in the engineering physics program or the aerospace engineering program. Up to the half-way point (where I am now), both programs are almost identical.
I don't really want to...
GO to This post And watch this video. You'll need realplayer which can be obtained at www.realone.com
I won't make any further comments because I would like people's unbiased opinions on what amounts to a conference and presentation to various congressman and press. I welcome any and all...
I have a few questions that i need help understanding how to answer:
1. At a power plant, the operating temperatures are 700 C and 310 C. The efficiency of the plant is 65% of its Carnot efficiency. The output of the plant is 500 MW.
a. Determine the efficiency of the plant.
b. What is the...
