"Laser Beam" (レーザービーム, "Laser Beam") is a song recorded by the Japanese girl group Perfume for their third studio album, JPN (2011). It was written, composed, arranged, and produced by Japanese musician and Capsule member Yasutaka Nakata. The single also included the A-side track "Kasuka na Kaori", which appeared on the parent album. Originally scheduled for an April 20, 2011 release, it was postponed due to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami disaster. As a result, they both premiered on May 18, 2011 as the fourth single from the album in Japan. Musically, "Laser Beam" is an electronic song, influenced by 8-bit music.
Upon its release, the track garnered positive reviews from music critics. Some critics highlighted the song as one of Perfume's best singles from their album, and commended the composition. It was also successful in Japan, peaking at number two on the Oricon Singles Chart and Billboard's Japan Hot 100 chart. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for physical shipments of 100,000 units. An accompanying music video was shot by Kazuaki Seki; it features the girls performing the song in a futuristic labyrinth, trying to retrieve a suitcase by a mysterious man. It was performed on the group's 2011 JPN concert tour.

A rubidium atom traveling at the speed of sound absorbs photons from an oncoming laser beam Each photon can be viewed as a tiny ping pong ball having momentum 7.79 x 10-28 Nt/sec. The atom absorbs a photon which is then reradiated in any direction. Hence, on average each...
I've looked for this subject but perhaps I'm asking the question the wrong way. Please advise.

For my experiment I need to take a 0.8 mm HeNe beam to 20 mm beam. Since we just want illumination, it appears there is not need for beam expander or a setup of special lens (there are a few configurations online).

hello forum.
a question about light and uncertainty:

Why? What happens to the uncertainty principle there?

Hi all,
I would like to ask a question.
Some people tell me that the red light emitted from the ball pen (I don't know the exact word in English, I mean the pen that lecturer uses to focus light on the slides when conducting presentation, in Power point eg) is the laser light. Is it true...
This is probably just nuts but let's say you switch on a laser, point it to the sky and leave it on for billions of years until the beam has traveled billions of light years. Then you rotate the laser 360 degrees in let's say 1 RPM. Does the laser spot that is now billions of light years away...

Hey all,
